For Hidden Room, we explored the relationship between resolution and visual perception and designed a system that generates a gradation of opacity/privacy within an architectural space.
The goal for this project is to design 5 spaces with 1 hidden on a 50 x 50 meter landscape through light and shadow. Instead of a more conventional architecture, we designed a system that generates a site-specific interactive landscape installations with thousands of thin chrome slabs that guide visitors, define spaces, and hide 1 space. The slabs do so by playing with sunlight and shadow through changing orientation, width, and height.
